Seeking an energetic, service-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly and positive attitude, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
This job position is two-part role:
the employee will serve as a medical receptionist as well as a TMS Technician.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an alternative treatment method for patients who with treatment resistant depression.
TMS technician training will be provided by this office.
Requirements/Skills:
High School Diploma or GED Excellent interpersonal skills.
A positive, nonjudgmental, unbiased demeanor is critical Outgoing and proactive work style with proven ability to multitask Ability to work independently Manual dexterity and fine motor skills Organizational and time management skills Computer skills, with proficiency in Windows based software.
Previous experience using Electronic Medical Records is preferred Proficiency in verbal and written English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus) Ability to abide by HIPAA and other regulatory policies Previous experience working in a medical office with familiarity with procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology, telephone protocol and professional etiquette is preferred Medical Assistant certification or previous experience working in healthcare/mental health is recommended, but not required Job Duties:
Answering and triaging incoming calls Checking in patients for their appointments (verify insurance information, demographics, etc.
) Faxing, scanning, filing Collecting copayments and outstanding balances (batch and balance at end of day) Covering co-workers' vacation/sick/personal time Opening and/or closing the office multiple days per week Other duties as assigned by office manager Hands-on contact and interaction with patients when checking patient vital signs and administering TMS treatment
